Paramount Roofing will sponsor the 4th Annual Kids Building Michigan, a free community event that brings together construction industry professionals and Metro Detroit families. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, at Seymour Lake Park, located at 2795 Seymour Lake Road, Oxford, MI 48371.
Attendees can operate machinery, try shingling a roof, dig in sand and take part in building and creative activities alongside working professionals who answer questions on the spot. The event also serves older attendees with a career-focused component. Teenagers and young adults can meet companies offering summer jobs, internships and apprenticeships. Information on trade school programs, training pathways and scholarship opportunities will also be available.
“Paramount Roofing is proud to be part of an event that puts young people face-to-face with the skilled trades and shows them what a career in construction can look like,” said Eric Reno, President of Paramount Roofing. “We believe the future of this industry depends on connecting with the next generation early, and Kids Building Michigan does exactly that.”
The mission behind Kids Building Michigan centers on developing the next generation of skilled trades professionals by creating direct connections between young people and the companies and programs that can put them to work. Paramount Roofing’s sponsorship reflects the company’s commitment to that mission and to the Oxford-area community it has served for years.
